tips to be healthier & skinnier

Wanted to jot down a couple of tips I found interesting and easy to follow to help you eat less and keep fit and ''skinny''

1. Brushing your teeth during the day minimizes the chances of eating unhealthy foods or eating out of boredom, so basically just brush your teeth every time you think about eating that last slice of pizza!

2. Drinking psyllium husk! Before meals helps you eat less ,The reason being psyllium husk is pure fibre and it "expands" in your stomach allowing you to feel fuller sooner.

3. Eat 8 almonds OR 8 walnuts before eating a meal! almonds and walnuts are full of healthy fats so they sit in your stomach and also make you feel fuller longer, they release a hormone Cholecystokinin which delays gastric empty.

4. Stand vs Sit! stand instead of sitting, if you're waiting at the doctors and aren't too ill stand!
standing burns 50 calories an hour!

5. Exercise consistently, consistency! is key , studies show that athletes that ran in a race at the same time of day always preformed better. This is because your body adapts to having physical requirements and expectations put upon it at a certain hour of the day, exercising consistently means that naturally your body will release more testostorone , adrenaline and human growth hormone which will boosts your performance.

6. Water! Water! Water! It can boost your metabolism by 3% It's the best thing ever! They usually say drink 8 glasses which is a great guideline but a better way is to drink till your urine looks like lemonade! stay hydrated at all times

7. Now this tip may sound a bit odd but! wearing tights under your clothes, when you feel bloated and your tummy expands it feels uncomfortable and just kind of disturbing so you'll stop eating.

8. HIDE those sweets & unhealthy snacks! have someone hide them away from you in the pantry or anywhere you can't find them.

Hopefully these tips help you out in your journey to being fitter and healthier!

Why study fitness?

Why fitness? why with FITcollege?

So, this question will be asked a few times so I will try to cover that in this article for anyone who's curious of my choices, hopefully I can shed some light and also inspire someone to study the same course through FITcollege as well.

Growing up as a young girl in the middle east physical activity was very rare , girls were more into shopping, gossip and hanging out , gyms weren't provided ...all we had was a swimming pool and physical education in school which was only once a week. Motivation to workout? NIL!

Since I grew up in Australia my sister and I knew the importance of physical activity in our lives, so we decided to stick to swimming, roller blading and playing basket ball! , at the moment I am more into HIIT workouts it's much easier for me since it only takes 20 minutes of your day! but doubled the calorie burn! other than that I love kickboxing and anything that gets your body pumping

Now you know a bit of my background on fitness i'll explain why I decided to actually get a qualification that revolves around fitness itself.

I see fitness to be a very important aspect in our lives , its that one thing that can make a big difference! for ourselves and for the people who love us, I mean think about it! if we just take 30 minutes a day of workout we lower the risks of getting cancer, diabetes, heart attack, arthritis and obesity the list goes on, OH and we earn ourselves a lean healthy sculpted body! who wouldn't want that?!

My aim is to focus on the elderly women in my community who lack the motivation to go out there and get physical and also for those young girls who çan't afford to go to gym, I really want everyone to be responsible over their own bodies before they get themselves in a situation they could have avoided if they just dedicated 30 minutes of workout each day, it's a healthy way of life physically and mentally.

As for why I am with FITcollege? well, out of the 6 colleges I rang up they were very flexible and understanding of my financial situation they weren't all about making money but you can tell they just want the best for their students I am very thankful for their services!

That's the conclusion of this article hope you got your answers and consider taking up fitness as a career and lifestyle. x
